Founded
in August 2003, Sporton¡¦s Wireless Business
Unit (WBU) strives to be the global
leader in telecommunication mobile certification
and services. The core mission of Sporton¡¦s
WBU is to provide the highest standards
in wireless certification, testing,
trainings, and consultations. |

Over the years, Sporton WBU
continues to provide premium services
for our customers. Some of these services
include: up-to-date information involving
telecommunication policies and regulations,
consultations from experienced engineers,
and accurate, precise, reliable testing
results by our state of the art testing
equipment and facility. In addition,
we are proud to announce that our global
certification services and testing facilities
are internationally recognized by agencies
and committees such as the FCC, Notified
Body, DGT, and CTIA. |

RFI-Sporton
Wireless Business Unit was formed in
August 2005 bringing together RFI¡¦s global recognition
and experience in GSM certification
and Sporton¡¦s local knowledge,
the equipment available at RFI-Sporton

These
extensive facilities offer mobile device
manufactures¡¦a conformance testing
service for GSM, GPRS & EGPRS technologies.
In
addition to the mobile conformance services,
the facility can provide complete certification
of a mobile device for CE, FCC &
DGT. A newly accredited CTIA OTA Test
chamber can provide manufacturers with
the testing needed for the 3D antenna
characterisation called for by PTCRB
and many network operators globally.

Milestones
- WBU founded in August 2003
- Established test capabilities for RF, EMC, and, SAR, and
obtained CNLA/IEC 17025 accreditation
in December 2003
- Obtained CNLA/IEC 17025 for DGT test requirements of Mobile
Phone. PLMN01 for GSM and PLMN08 for
CDMA/WCDMA
- Establish 3-D OTA (Over-the-Air) capability in March 2004
- SAR facilities became one of the external certified labs
for Motorola
- Sporton became GCF (GSM Global Certification Forum) Observer
in January 2005
- Partnership with RFI Global in UK was established in August
2005, and a new Mobile Conformance
Testing Business Unit was formed.
- Established WCDMA test capabilities in April 2005.
- Obtained CLNA/IEC 17025 accreditation for OTA testing
in May 2005.
- Established new RFI-Sporton Mobile Conformance lab in
June 2005, offering complete testing
of GSM/GPRS/EDGE.
- OTA (Over-the-Air) chamber was accredited by CTIA in July
2005, and became one of the few OTA
CATL labs in the world.
- Obtained CNLA/IEC 17025 for DGT test requirement RTTE01
in August 2005.
- Obtained CNLA/IEC 17025 for
TS51.010 and TS11.14 in August 2005.
- RFI-Sporton
become PVG member in October, 2005
- RFI-Sporton
become PCTRB certified lab in November,
2005
- Establish
3-D OTA(Over-the-air) capability in
Korea, Oct 2006
- OTA
(Over-the-air) chamber was accredited
by CTIA in Nov.2006, and become the
first OTA CATL lab for OTA test plan
