Since its inception in 1986, Sporton International has been focusing on providing customers with professional product testing and certification services. With years of dedication, Sporton International has become a designated testing lab for regulatory bodies such as BSMI, NCC, and TAF and acquired professional certificates including PTCRB, GCF and CTIA. With solid credibility in the industry, Sporton International now is the largest test lab specializing in EMC/Safety tests. 1986 Sporton International established in Songshan, Taipei, with one shielded room - the first private EMI test facility, offering local manufacturers an alternative EMI test choice other than ERSO.
1988 set up EMI open area test site in Neihu and obtained official accreditations from US FCC, Japen VCCI, and Norway NEMKO.
1993 set up SAFETY lab in Songshan, Taipei, and obtained accreditations from US UL, Canada CSA, and Germany TUV (Rhineland & PS). (Now relocated in Junghe)
1995 to be in full compliance with EU CE requirements, Sporton International invested NTD$30 million to build an EMC (EMI and EMS) open area test site in Linkou, Taipei County.
1997 relocated headquarters to Xizhi, Taipei County to provide comprehensive, quality, and better services to local suppliers and manufactures.
1999 founded the Component BU in Junghe, Taipei County and started selling and distributing EMI components.
2001 established the Hwaya facility in the Hwaya Technology Park, Kwei-Shan Township, Taotuan County. The facility includes two semi-anechoic chambers, one 3m and the other 10m. SAFETY services were accredited by US UL lab and CAP.
2002 listed on GTSM (Gre Tai Securities Market) stock code: 6146.
2003 set up a full-anechoic chamber at the Hwaya facility. The chamber then was certified to perform radio tests.
2004 founded the Mobile Device BU
2005
  • joined GCF (GSM Global Certification Forum) as an observer member in January.
  • established the Zhubei facility which includes 2 semi-anechoic chambers (a 3m and the other 10m), a full anechoic chamber, and EMI/EMS open area test sites.
  • established a partnership with RFI Global in UK and formed FTA/PTCRB Business Unit.
  • established 3G-WCDMA testing capabilities in April. 
  • obtained CLNA/IEC 17025 and CTIA accreditations for OTA 3D Antenna (Over The Air) test sites.
2005
  • established Digital TV performance test sites in Neihu.
  • founded the Taiwan NCC Certification BU under the inquiry of the NCC and was appointed by NCC to provide certification services focusing on controlled telecommunications radio frequency devices - Low-power Radio-frequency Devices (LP0002) and Telecommunications Terminal Equipment (PLMN01, PLMN08, and RTTE01).
  • established mobile device test sites in Kyunggi-do, Korea.
2007
  • established Sporton International (KunShan) Inc. in Kunshan Economic & Technical Development Zone, JiangSu, China.
  • achieved Vodafone OTA and SAR test certifications.
  • achieved Moto FM test certification.
2008
  • set up the RF and mobile phone test lab, which is the only GCF/PTCRB accredited test lab in Korea.
  • achieved certification for testing Japanese mobile devices.
  • established HSDPA/HSUPA/USAT/JAVA energy measurement capacity, in full compliance with GCF/PTCRB standards.
  • acquired CTIA Wi-Fi OTA CTIA/WiFi Alliance certificates.
2009 with a successful accreditation extension to 2009, the Taiwan NCC Certification BU was delegated to provide certification services focusing on controlled telecommunications radio frequency devices - Low-power Radio-frequency Devices (LP0002) and Telecommunications Terminal Equipment (RTTE01, PLMN01, PLMN08, and PLMN09) - GMS, WCDMA, and WiMax equipment.
2011 accredited Low-power Radio-frequency Devices test capability up to 200GHz
