TAIPEI, Taiwan, December
6, 2024 –Sporton International Inc. (“Sporton”, Taipei Stock Exchange: 6146
TT), announced the consolidated revenue for November 2024 was NT$375 million,
representing a decrease of 3.78% compared to the same period last year. The cumulative
consolidated revenue from January to November 2024 amounts to NT$4180 billion(-6.01%YoY).
Sporton stated that as the importance
of information and network security continues to grow, countries worldwide are
imposing increasingly stringent cybersecurity requirements on connected
terminal devices. The implementation of the ISO/IEC 27001 standard has driven a
rise in customer demand for cybersecurity testing. The European Union has
announced that the EN 18031-1/-2/-3 series of cybersecurity standards will be mandatory
starting August 1, 2025.
Sporton
has long been equipped to perform tests under these standards, and its issued
reports have been certified as compliant by three Notified Bodies in the EU.
Several projects are currently in progress. Meanwhile, the U.S. Federal
Communications Commission (FCC) plans to introduce a "Cyber Trust
Mark" to assist consumers in selecting more secure connected devices. Many
leading smart appliance and device manufacturers have already joined this
labeling system.
In
the future, cybersecurity testing will become a key requirement for various
types of connected terminal devices, standing alongside EMC, SAFETY, RF, and 5G
testing services. Leveraging its high market share in 5G and advanced network
communication testing, as well as its designation as a preferred partner by
major brands, Sporton is well-positioned to rapidly capture the substantial
business opportunities in the emerging cybersecurity testing market.
